Thick hair starts to frizz, despite using loads of conditioner

I'm 44 and in the past few months, my thick hair gets frizzy (at the back) on the days I don't wash it. Wash every other day normally. I rotate shampoos as hair gets flat if I wash with the same shampoo wash after wash. I use a rinse out conditioner, a hair mask which I keep in my hair whilst washing my body. Then use a spray in conditioner.

I have no idea if I am starting the perimenopause as on the mini pill and had only one light bleed in the 3 years on it. Though hair is greasy just at the roots on day after not washing hair.

What else can I do? Hair is chin length.

Thick frizzy hair here.

I use Umberto Giannini defrizz blowout creme on soaking wet hair. Works really well.

Also sleeping with it in a low bun.

Sleeping on a silk pillowcase helps.

Hair is too short for any hair buns. Do I need to blowdry using that UG creme? I can't blowdry hair for toffee.

Short Back and Sides please from now on. Why not? All women are entitled to it. It is the fashion in the hairdressers salons and it's catching on . You are still a woman. Colin

sleep on a pillow case. have you tried taking a hair supplement ? I find vivivscal works great do you need to wash hair every other day? mine is very thick and I only wash it once a week. use a leave in conditioner aswell. if you blow dry use the colour wow pre treatment before drying. dry sahmpoo in your hair the night before on days you don't wash.

Don't know. I sometimes do and sometimes don't. But when I don't I put it in a low bun to dry.

You need some defrizz cream basically. Redken also does one.

I swear by Olaplex Bond Smoother No.6

I bought the Wow spray, you need to use heat and tension to activate it but it really does work.

I also have the kérastase anti friz serum, had to use more than I'd expect (6 pumps on thin shoulder length hair) but it works well without heat.

This is a wierd one but I use my kids leave in conditioner ( Johnson's ). Honestly my hair is the best ! I have mega frizz and now it looks really good. I'm same age as you. I've tried all sorts of pricey solutions but this is the best. Just buy it I. The supermarket.
