Looking for the unicorn of sports bras

I have MASSIVE boobs - they’re a gg cup. I need a sports bra that doesn’t feel like I’m being shredded by cheese wire but keeps everything firmly in place even at a run. I just want to go for a jiggle free run and not have red welts on me afterwards.

Not m&s - the straps are never short enough even on the shortest setting, and not shock absorber as the quality seems to have nose dived.

thank you!!

You need to go for a fitting at bravissimo

I know my size, it’s about the style. I want the most hold you in of hold you in ones!

Shock absorber Maxi D+ is your friend 😊

Thereisntenoughgin · 23/03/2025 23:13

But go up a size (though not in cup). So if normally 34 GG go 38GG.

Visit to bravissimo to try first?

Never wear wires for running. Ok for weights, gym, yoga etc. No for running.

Have a look at Enell. Front fastening. I have to lie on my back to fasten all the clips, but amazing support. Nothing moves.

Thereisntenoughgin · 23/03/2025 23:14

Am all fingers and thumbs! Go to 36GG not 38!

Enell chafed me to pieces - I know some people love them but I was in agony where it dug in. I always found Panache or Freya the best for large cup sizes. Shock Absorber not quite as jiggle-free.

fruitpastille · 23/03/2025 23:20

Have you tried wearing two? Friends swear by this.

DesparatePragmatist · 23/03/2025 23:20

Sweaty Betty, their newer range of Zero Gravity running bras. Very broad straps and firm fabric in almost a light scuba material, but somehow wicking rather than sweaty. They are very fabulous and I'm no longer in danger of getting black eyes when I run. They also do their Power range, which are also very good but not as rock solid supportive as the running ones.

You need to go up a band size and down a cup size for some unfathomable reason, so for eg I'm a 32E normally but need to get a SB 34DD.

Vinted is your friend for trying out styles until you get your unicorn fit.

ClippyMuldoon · 24/03/2025 09:56

32G here. I have one from Triumph and it is perfect, not a wibble no matter what I am doing.

Londonmummy66 · 24/03/2025 10:23

32 FF - I wear a shock absorber maxi D underneath a Freya high octane underwired bra. The shock absorber is useless on its own but does stop the Freya from chaffing and adds a little bit of extra support. I can jump up and down and nothing moves.

WobblyBoots · 28/03/2025 19:36

Panache wired or non wired sports bra. I'm a 28FF and find these both very supportive. They both have an option to clip the straps into racer back style which gives even more support. The non wired version fits a bit bigger in my opinion and I use that for the gym and the wired one for runs.

ScaryM0nster · 28/03/2025 19:39

Panache. I’m a similar size.

Itrymybestyesido · 28/03/2025 19:43

Shocker absorber! They are brilliant.

dementedpixie · 28/03/2025 19:46

I'm 36GG and wear panache ultimate underwired bras for all my sports classes. I buy from boobydoo website

tillyandmilly · 28/03/2025 19:48

Wired bras are a no no for exercise don’t recommend

ToBeOrNotToBee · 28/03/2025 19:48

I love my pour moi one.

dementedpixie · 28/03/2025 19:49

I like my underwired sports bras and feel they offer good support as well as a good shape

ANewStartIn20225 · 28/03/2025 19:50

I have the sweaty betty one. It’s brilliant.

Titasaducksarse · 28/03/2025 19:50

Panache. I'm a 36gg. Normally wear the underwired but do have a non wired for when I'm doing weights only. Can be worn normally or racer back.

@Titasaducksarse how do you find the non wired panache? I've not tried non wired. How does it compare support wise to the wired?

Lotsofnoodles · 28/03/2025 19:53

Maaree. They go up to an HH cup.

Yeah but theyll have the best range of sports bras for big boobs for you to try on.

I have heard good things about panache sports bras.

dementedpixie · 28/03/2025 19:56

Boobydoo website has a good range of sports bras. I always seem to end up with panache underwired though
