Wide fit trainers

Desperately need some new everyday trainers (ie to wear with jeans, leggings etc rather than to run or gym in) but have horribly wide feet so it’s never easy.

Can anyone recommend any that suit wide feet but are also fashionable?

Following. I got some New Balance dupes in M and S but they have no grip in rain which is ridiculous in this country!

RosesAndHellebores · 22/03/2025 14:08

Jones the Bootmaker stock nice wide fitting trainers.

I've just got someFatFace Fila Trainers that accommodated my bunion with room to spare. The leather is really soft and they also have nice rubber grippy soles. Really comfy.

Skechers run wide

TumbledTussocks · 22/03/2025 15:16

I buy men’s size 6 - sometimes wide fit sometimes normal - men’s are wiser anyway. they’re hard to find but new balance do them.

BarnacleBeasley · 22/03/2025 15:31

I have wide feet and sometimes get specialist brands such as Calla, but I actually also find Superga can fit okay.

averythinline · 22/03/2025 15:40

Hoka ... Wide and x wide... Aee the best i've found.. cost a fortune but so comfortable

Dreamerinme · 23/03/2025 07:47

Fitville do wide and extra wide fitting shoes, and are often on sale on Amazon.

Rocknrollstar · 23/03/2025 07:59

Skechers and also I buy a size bigger at Primark

BabarEnFamille · 23/03/2025 08:06

Definitely agree with mens trainers, I’ve bought size 6 Samba’s from the women’s section which are tight across my foot and take ages to break in, size 6 in men’s are comfortable instantly and bit too wide if anything

Petra42 · 23/03/2025 08:09

Hoka are great, you can get some end of line style discounts on the site but they are really comfortable

NeedingCoffee · 23/03/2025 08:14

I have hobbit feet and the best are Birkenstock trainers, but have actually just bought a pair of adidas court trainers and they're pretty good - a fraction less wide but still comfortable.

AlertCat · 23/03/2025 08:50

I have wide feet and these are super comfortable- light and soft, almost barefoot, like wearing little clouds! I feel like a dancer in them, whereas most trainers have a rigidity to them.

Having tried what feels like everything, I would second Hoka wide fitting. OC and New Balance also do some but not many styles.

PenneyFouryourthoughts · 23/03/2025 09:36

Not trendy, but I buy Hotters.

ToThineOwnSelf · 23/03/2025 09:55

I second Adidas Court and mens styles. I bought some M&S black suede Veja style ones recently which seem wider than normal too

Hopu · 23/03/2025 11:34

Years ago, men’s trainers always started at a size 6 (my size), and I would buy those for a wider fit, but now lots of them seem to start at size 7. Men’s trainers seem to be wider at the heel though, and I find that they slip around too much for running in, but they’re fine for everyday wear.

myladyjane · 23/03/2025 16:46

Third the adidas Court trainers - I have hobbit feet and they are perfect for me.

probably don’t fit the fashionable remit but I have white Fitflop Rally trainers in plain white leather and they are great out of the box.

goingtostealatoiletroll · 23/03/2025 16:53

If you're on Tiktok, look for Hobibears barefoot trainers.

I have AWFUL wide feet, EEE width fitting normally, and every pair of shoes I've ever bought have needed serious wearing-in. Even £100+ Hotter/Heavenly Feet ones.

The Hobibears were instantly comfortable, have so much room for my feet and are flexible and comfortable for walking. They were also less than £20.

AzureLion · 23/03/2025 17:43

I would suggest trying Sketchers relaxed fit which are a wider fitting 😀

C080889 · 23/03/2025 17:47

Adidas OzWeego

Reginald123 · 23/03/2025 18:40

Reiker and Remonte are the same German shoe brand. They do wide fitting trainers. They are good quality and the only ones I can find that fit my feet. Hope they would be considered trendy enough - in my mind they are better than Hotters.

Adidas Campus!
I have to half size down as they are too wide on me, they are very comfortable and come in some lovely colourways.
