Off on holiday in a few weeks and feel like I'm in such a holiday fashion rut!

This holiday will be adults only - just sightseeing, meals and drinks, etc and the temps should be early-mid twenties, sunny and dry.

No fancy meals out planned, but want to look stylish and put together whilst still feeling comfortable.

My problem is I'm only just over 5ft and a curvy size 16-18. I carry weight around my waist and bust mostly. Short legs. Bit of an apron belly, and perimenopausal too, so all the joys!

My go to is usually black, but i want to break away from that if I can or at least have something I can accessorise more colourfully.

I'm usually a cullotes, vest and shirt person but feel frumpy in those at the minute. I just feel like I've lost my style and want to feel confident again!

I don't have an endless budget and will be hand Iuggage only.

Any suggestions?

And where do people buy decent jeans these days? I don't have any other than skinny jeans but wide leg look awful on me and high rise just accentuates the tum!

Have a look here. Pick two or three things that fill a gap in your wardrobe. The linen items and the stripes are particularly holiday worthy but could all be worn for the rest of the Summer with whatever you already own, so are worth the initial investment. I think I’ve filtered for size 18:

Alternatively the new Joanie collection is full of cheerful Summer clothes. This might be particularly good for your holiday:

(And despite the stated model heights, most clothes fit most average height women. Shops would sell nothing if they only catered for 5’11 women …)

Imala Gingham Short Sleeve Boilersuit - Navy

Keeping cool and looking even cooler is easy, thanks to Imala! The Imala Boilersuit is back and better than ever in a brand-new black and white gingham colourway, crafted from a super-soft organic cotton blend barkcloth with added stretch for comfort....
