Good basic T-shirts

Hi everyone
I’ve lost a bit of weight ( still a way to go!) and struggling to find decent quality t shirts, I’ve got quite a short body compared to legs, big boobs and still got a tummy. The shorter T-shirts around atm do nothing for me, and end up looking cropped because of my chest! Any ideas for some decent plain ish t shirts please to wear with jeans etc, thanks

I buy mens cotton tshirts, they seem a better quality than womens and there are plenty of plain ones.

Have you looked in Yours Clothing. They seem to do tops usually that are a bit longer.

Next do some good sets of basic t shirts. I have big boobs and a long torso and they fit me. They do multipacks of different styles so there should be one which works for you.

Cos.

I second Uniqlo. Excellent fabric quality. Reminds me of Gap of old.

LesleyL · 16/03/2025 06:50

Next do a premium jersey t shirt which is really good quality thick fabric, and not cropped.

maldivemoment · 16/03/2025 07:00

Uniqlo

Peacocks have got some in currently which seem really good value.

or try sainburys. Tu clothing seems to last well

Everyone seems to recommend Cos for t shirts. I haven't got any from there but plan to buy a couple to try.

Another vote for Next. They sell plain T-shirts which are long (I’m 5ft 7 and big boobed and they fit me well). They’ve also brought out slightly more expensive oversized boxy T-shirts which are really nice

RampantIvy · 16/03/2025 07:41

Yet another vote for Uniqlo.

Also, believe it or not, Bon Marche.

2025istheyeari · 16/03/2025 07:41

Ooh thank you all! I bought a gorgeous t shirt from Cos last year which was fab quality. Uniqlo also a great shout and hadn’t even thought of Next! I’m 5 foot 8, so those sounds great @familyissues12345 thanks! Have a great Sunday all

My favourite t-Shirts in terms of quality and style are from Lands End. However I only ever buy when on offer as I feel their prices are artificially inflated to allow for regular sales

AS Colour. Infallible.

Peachbubble · 16/03/2025 07:57

Earth Wardrobe are good for plain T shirts. They do a variety of styles to suit different body shapes. Also Cotton Traders for basics in a good variety of colours.

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 16/03/2025 08:07

Primark, I've got a long body, big boobs (and a bit of a belly now) and their v neck stretch t-shirts have been my go to for years, as they seem to be longer. And at about £3, they also last and keep their shape.

Overtheatlantic · 16/03/2025 08:11

Poetry have some beautiful well made t-shirts. I just bought a navy one and an olive one.
