I’ve bought this dress for a wedding next week, plan to pair with some cream and gold wedge sandals and a cream and gold bag. What can wear over the top that’s not too formal (not a fan of blazers) but not also not too casual. Love a cardigan but don’t want to look too old lady or casual!
was hoping there would be no need but the weather is just not warming up!

Ah possibly, not sure if it’s a bit on the formal side.
it is for a wedding but it’s not a super formal wedding and I also don’t like feeling restricted so was thinking something a bit “looser” IYKWIM

I wouldn't wear anything over it other than wear your smartest coat or jacket to get to the church. If it's cold in the church, keep it on and then take your coat off at the reception. The dress doesn't need anything over it at the reception. If they're doing photos outdoors, keep your coat open or hanging over your shoulders.

Completely agree. Borrow a smart coat if you don’t have one. But let the dress be the dress. Please don’t wear a cardi!!

A short but fitted jacket, not a blazer shape if you don't like them.
