GlossyBox - Is it worth it?

Giving up my Liberty Beauty Drop shortly and wondering if I should subscribe to this instead.

Seems a bargain at £8.50 a month plus PP or am I deluding myself?

The Easter kit looks pretty good, was tempted by just that initially but now wondering if the subscription might be worth trying.

Frankly no it’s not

Nope it's really not

Not unless you don’t own any skincare/makeup stuff at all and are just trying to work out what things you like and might suit you.
But even then I’d still say no really!
I love my Liberty box, used to have glossy and the ilk but they were all pretty much duds for me and I have most of it away.
Most of the BD stuff I’ve never tried before but have really enjoyed.

Yeah, it's like the curate's egg - only good in parts. I think it's quite expensive for what is it and what you get.
Some of the goods are clearly give-aways from suppliers.
And IME the £8.50 doesn't persist, thr price goes up. I think I was paying around £11 a month when I gave it up.
(And for quite a bit of stuff I didn't like or use. Handed it off to friends.)

I used to have it but I dint always like what I was given. My DDIL was kept in eyeliner and mascara which I never wear. DD had some face masks as I can't do clay ones.

In the end I gave up as they were repeating things. There's only so much beige nail varnish you can use in a couple of months.

Thanks to all who replied 😀

I am pleased to say I managed to resist.

The Egg does still look tempting though which led me to the box subscription as you then get a fiver off, but don’t think I will bother as trying to downsize my vast collection of products.

As others have said, no it's not. I tried it for 3 months and it's very hit and miss. Also not that easy to cancel as you have to go through the chat bot system.

I still have the Liberty BD and Look Fantastic. Not sure if I will persist with LF for a long time but it's a bit better than GB imo, even though they are owned by the same company. You get better perks with LF such as discounts on orders and a cheaper price on any edits they do.

So if you are considering a monthly box I'd go for LF over GB. Like any monthly box though they can start to feel a bit samey.

The Beauty Drop has the frequency about right I think but of course it is a lot more expensive so I don't know how long I'll keep on with that one either. I'm banking on a good advent calendar this year I can spend my vouchers on.
