Matte bronzer recommendation for 45+ please

I was given a make up set for Christmas but have only just tried it out. I rarely wear much makeup - concealer & mascara normally- but I want to look a little healthier & put together so thought a liquid blush & bronzer might help.
I've just tried the bronzer (it was half light, half darker shade & I'm assuming I was supposed to blend them on my brush before applying?!?). However, I've realised it's very shimmery and it just feels a bit ott on my 45 year old face.
Any suggestions for a matte & easy/fool-proof to apply bronzer please (preferably one that's just a block colour & doesn't need blending before application)?

Honestly I live by the Chanel one - it's perfect, lasts a ridiculously long time and just wears so well.

Chanel cream bronzer. Honestly it’s worth the little bit of time to blend and it doesn’t take that long to do. A little goes a long way.

Jones Road have some lovely bronzers.

Vieve do a very bendable cream bronzer that won't terrify you.

If you want super pigmented liquid bronzer, the new Rare Beauty ones are very good. You get a lot of product for the price and the shade range is good.

Chanel is the OG crème bronzer and is The Don.

Although I hear very good things about the new No7 Pro Range dupe.
