I am going to DS’s DoE awards ceremony at Buckingham Palace in May. I’d like to wear a trouser and jacket combination for a number of reasons: I have puffy ankles, I suit trousers better than dresses and a fitted jacket flatters my shape ( I’m a size 16 and 5’9). BUT - I really don’t like wide leg trousers and all the suits I’ve seen have them. Can anyone find me an outfit? I’ve looked at photos of the event and there are a number of women wearing trouser/jacket combos so not worried about suitability. I just want to be relaxed and wear comfy shoes while still looking nice!
