I cannot or find any better shower product than L'occitane almond shower oil

I've seen the Nina pool ' dupe' bought it and it's rubbish. Nothing can replace the smell.
Is there honestly anything close? I go through a bottle every 6 months or so.

Aldi do a dupe every so often. I haven't tried the shower gel but I really like the body scrub.

Ooo what's it called? Is the packaging similar like Aldi like to do?

Lacura shower oil.

I’ve not tried it but also interested as I too am an addict.

Loccitaine almond bath oil does not contain any SLS. It's one of the few bath products that doesnt. I use E45 bath oil in my shower though. I'm allergic to SLS so I'm very particular.

but loccitanne almond bath oil is one of be happy with.

Wrapunzel · 09/03/2025 20:58

I'm an addict too and now have my whole wider family (and some friends) using it... even my primary age kids ask for it Grin once a week treat for them!

I'm not sure. Almond shower gel or something like that. The packaging is very similar to the L'Occitane though.

Does it have the smell though?

I love the smell of this but find I need to
use a lot of it to feel like i'm lathering up but it's too expensive to use like that!

TheChosenTwo · 09/03/2025 21:36

I absolutely love this op, discovered that my dh had been using it, bloody oaf - I economise on his shower gel (£1 mint source stuff!) because he literally doesn’t give a shit what he uses as long as it lathers up and is clean 🤣
he kept coming in the bedroom smelling lovely and the penny dropped!
Around the same time I realised ds had been ploughing through my Ouai shampoo - I think I need a separate girls bathroom 😂

The absolute cheek! I did discover my son's girlfriend had been using some of my nice bath products but I love her so it's ok and I'll buy her some of her own.

The L'Occitane almond shower product smells heavenly but I'm worried about using it in my shower in case it makes my shower floor slippery. How do people manage with this?

gollyimholly · 09/03/2025 22:17

Oh my goodness, I adore this! I discovered it last year and have, similarly to PP, bought it for my mum and sister. I get excited about my showers just anticipating using this shower oil 🤣

I also use the almond supple skin oil which also smells lovely. I saw on the L'Occitane website that there is also a cream that goes with this set but I wasn't a fan of its smell when I tried it in store and so didn't add it to the collection.

I haven't found that it makes the floor slippery at all. For me the soap residue just washes away.

WonderingWanda · 09/03/2025 22:19

It's my favourite too, love the smell and the way it makes my skin feel. I love their hand creams as well.

It's not a problem at all.

I love it and have used it From what I remember it was not slippery. Believe me I am as clumsy as they come and never (touch wood) slipped.

LSGXX · 10/03/2025 13:23

Thanks for replying - ok, I'll crack on and get some!

isthismylifenow · 10/03/2025 13:25

What is Nina Pool's dupe for this?

As I read somewhere that the Bioderma shower oil is a very close option.

If this is the one Nina Pool is recommending, then ignore me.

Edited to say I use the Bioderma Atoderm shower gel (the blue one), and it is bloody amazing stuff. Not an oil though, just a really nice product.

singletonatlarge · 10/03/2025 13:26

The Aldi dupe is excellent - very similar texture and smell.

BCSurvivor · 10/03/2025 13:26

I wish I hadn't scrolled through this post as this is now on my radar as it sounds amazing, and my bank balance definitely won't thank me 🤣

Santasbigredbobblehat · 10/03/2025 13:30

This is my favourite too! I use original source for the 'scrub' then this is second.
I love the accompanying shampoo and conditioner, but it seems they've discontinued it.

Dfg15 · 10/03/2025 13:33

I like this, but found it stained the shower tray. Anyone else noticed this? Obviously I clean the shower tray but noticed a kind of residue even after cleaning.

She has recommended Palmer's skin repair oil.
Nowhere near as good. I now want to try and get the Aldi dupe the next time it's in store.... anyone have any idea when this is?

No stains or slipperiness here, but I think I might use less than some, my first bottle has lasted over a year and is still half full, I use two pumps per shower, it goes a long way. We have soft water though.

CherryMarigold · 10/03/2025 16:19

What? It doesn't make the shower slippery!
I love the smell of this but have avoided after a previous shower oil incident.
