Primark Microcurrent tool

Has anyone tried the Primark Microcurrent device? I can't remember the exact name but it was £18 so possibly with a try. Does it need any special products to use it with?

Anyone suggesting any good, affordable alternative would be interesting. I'm late 40's and looking to gently rejuvenate my skin.

amazon do a gel for £6.99, asos sell a micro current conductive gel for £23 -there must be plenty priced in between the two though.
