Please create outfits for me! Relaxed going out for Spring please?

I've got young DC and only go out once a month or so for a date with DH or with the girls, and tends to be just to a restaurant or bar where I live in London - nothing swanky.

I have limited going out clothes since my days are usually wfh and parenting so I'm looking for outfit ideas now it's Spring.

During winter I've been wearing a long wool coat over the top of my evening outfit which I always feel smart in, but the weather is now too mild.

Any whole outfit ideas please for Spring, including jackets? Smart casual restaurant / bar type look.

I'm 40 and tall curvy size 12 if it's useful. Below I'll add a few key items I own and like to wear in case it is helpful info! But I'm open to buying new outfits too.

White jeans (love them hence the username) in straight, ankle grazer and wide
Various dark smart jeans (bootleg, wide, tailored, slim)
Bias slip skirt in black and in olive

Outer layer:
Classic trench coat
Light beige boxy wool jacket with pockets
Tan leather jacket oversized
Charcoal wool bomber jacket
I also have long wool coats in great, camel and navy but I think they are too warm now

Footwear: (need alternatives)
Knee high classic black boots
Chunky flat clack ankle boots
(I also own tonnes of sneakers / trainers if applicable)

Top half:
Various sweaters
Navy silk blouse
Black lacy blouse
White silk blouse

Isn't it just a case of trying on what you've got and see how it looks?

So far as a whole new outfit-what's your budget and general preferences - other than white jeans?

Er, well it's not a case of just trying things on as I've said I don't have anything suitable! Not for a Spring evening out.

Height and size doesn't give any indication of what you're looking for without your general preferences and budget. As to what people are wearing-everyone will have their own ideas.

I don't wear jeans or trousers but for starters, from your list of what you've got I'd pair your bias slip skirts with the flat boots and sweaters and see how that goes. For outer layer, depends on the weather.

If it were me, I'd wear a dress, probably something Klements or Cabbages & Roses. You haven't listed dresses so maybe have a look at Cos trousers and skirts?

@whitejeanss Have a look at Red Magazine for spring trends 25. I like wider jeans and a cropped jacket. Flowing wider trousers would look good too. A knitted t shirt top and M&S are doing good preppy shirts with sleeveless pullover. Or just a preppy pullover. Striped sweater and boat shoes. Or suede soft loafers. DD very much liking the H&M ones. Trench coat definitely and there's a few peplum blouses about. Frilled sleeves too. Floral jeans are around and bubble hem skirts or dresses. Plenty of animal prints too. Any of that list you like?

Thanks for your ideas @IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle I am definitely a trousers person as I'm tall, and I am trying to wear skirts too. I forgot I also have a maxi denim skirt which I could dress up. I'm not really a fan of those dresses to be honest as they are far too pouffy for my figure. I suit more structured stuff and as I'm not very skinny anything balloony or with too much material isn't flattering on me.

Thanks @TizerorFizz I'll look at Red magazine for ideas for outfits. A lot of your list are very nice but maybe more daytimey looks, and I'm specifically thinking about going out things.

@whitejeanss Bubble hem skirts are definitely going out! Just change the peplum top for a smart one. Saw Karen Brady in skimmer on tv last week. The magazines link to couture shows so you see the high end version the high street is copying.

It's just that "what do you wear to go to a restaurant or a pub?" is sort of the sartorial equivalent of "how long is a piece of string?". That is what I would wear- others wouldn't.

@whitejeanss So sorry! That was a bizarre autocorrect! I saw Karen Brady in a similar peplum top! So nipped in at the waist
and flared over the hips. They obviously need to fit well to look very smart or go for a boho style which is coming back. A few flounces and ruffles. Can be very flattering in a good fabric.
