Hello
Has anybody used a hair dye shampoo? I'm getting a lot more greys and am having to colour my hair a lot more now - has anyone used a shampoo they could recommend? Thanks

@paulyispoorly I am allergic to the stuff the put in dark coloured permanent hair dye so I use a shampoo in, wash out temporary hair colour called Marion. I buy it from ebay or Amazon or online beauty shops. It's a couple of quid for a sachet and you wet your hair, rub it in till it foams, leave it in for the required time (I leave it on a bit longer to cover the gray) then rinse it out and condition as normal. I usually find it lasts a couple of weeks but I only do it if I'm going somewhere or are fed up with the gray because I'm too lazy to do it every two weeks!

@paulyispoorly Apologies if I've misunderstood what you meant, do you actually mean shampoo for coloured hair rather than hair colouring shampoo? If so, I used the red one from Elvive. It's specifically for coloured hair and doesn't strip it of the colour. It's recently gone up in price but I shop around and try to get it on special offer.

Supadrug do a ‘colour toner’ shampoo, in several different shades for blonde to dark brown, which I’ve found really easy to use and effective in toning down the increasing grey, (even though it says it doesn’t do that).
It’s only about £2.50 a bottle and I mix two shades to get the results I’m happy with. I also find it lasts longer that the three applications it says on the bottle, but I do have shortish hair.

Plantur Brown. But you also need the conditioner to get the colour. Covers my grey well enough.

I've got a severe allergy to hair dye but have had excellent results from a product called Leganza which is available on Amazon. I do leave it on for longer than suggested, around an hour.

Bleach London - I use the Instant Coffee
Instant Coffee Super Cool Colour | Hair | Superdrug

Lovely colour , surprisingly good on my grey hair , lasts a good few washes , smells amazing , leaves my hair really soft , Cruelty Free

I don;t want any red in my hair as I think it'll fade to pink on the pesky grey hairs
