Lucy and yak sizing help

Never ordered from there, what's sizing like is it generous? Ordering trousers, I am a 14 - 16 am I best off with 12 - 14 or 16 - 18? They're trousers with elasticated waist

If you were ordering dungerees I would say size down but I haven't tried the trousers, can you order both sizes and return one?

I'm a 12 & I wear 8-10 in their cords. They have an elasticated waist though.

I’d go for 12-14 but it does depend on the fit you prefer. Can you get to a store?

I find trousers with an elasticated waist from there more generous. If it has a waist fastening then size up.

I'm a 14 and Wear 16-18 but get the leg taken in at the tailors because they are baggy on the leg. With the zipped jump suit I size up 2 sizes because I'm 5ft 8 so need the room for my height.

dd (big Yak fan) says trouser sizing usually v accurate except for Rumi trousers which are massive, most go 2 sizes down (tho v comfy).

dd says get both and try on, different styles work differently. Elasticated waistbands are v stretchy though.

You could use Klarna or Clearpay, that way you will be able to return the size you don't need without paying for it upfront.

The Alexa ones are huge - the waistband is quite gently elastic and the legs are spacious - immensely comfortable, but could have sized down. I want the brushed cotton ones so I can go out wearing pyjamas...
The same size for the Addison ones I found fitted but the waistband was pretty constricting.

Alexa are massive - I am 12-14 and ended up with S.

Addison are generous in the leg but not in the waist.
