Really good sports bras!

Not sure whether to post in here or in Exercise 😂 but I’ve just started the C25K (again!) after having not run for a good few years, and realised that all my sports bras are at least 10 years old if not older. They are all shock absorber D+ max in a 30E (bra size is 28DD but they seemed to come up quite small). I’ve had a bit of a look and Champion seems to have taken over Shock Absorber which does make me question the quality of the new ones - can anyone recommend anything that’s going to hold everything in place? I ride as well (horses) so don’t want any movement at all if I can help it! Any brands that are better than the old style shock absorber and that come in small back/larger cup?

Big fan of the Panache underwired sports bra. Nothing moves!

dreamingofsun · 03/03/2025 14:45

i like my panache too. got some in the sale from john lewis.

RaraRachael · 03/03/2025 14:47

I got a Bravissimo one that kept my 36GG monstrosities under control

loropianalover · 03/03/2025 14:48

I’m a 38H and wear Panache.

ShowAndGo · 03/03/2025 14:49

Another vote for the Panache underwired, although I do recommend trying them on as I've found minor inconsistencies in different colour ways - I'm a 34F usually but sometimes they won't do up, while a 36E fits fine.

(Don't come for me, I know 34F/36E is a 'sister size' thing, it's just my experience!)

I've got two pairs of Spanx sports bras which keep my 36DDs from going anywhere when I run, cycle or ride horses. They don't give you a very flattering silhouette, but they work.

fourelementary · 03/03/2025 14:55

I swear by these but they’re not cheap. Last for years though and keep my 36GGs still.Bra

I have two, one from Bravissimo and one from M&S. The bravissimo sports bra is worthwhile, but so is the M&s one.

Fillybuster · 03/03/2025 15:03

I’ve tried all of the above, and have now settled on the Pour Moi own brand (and significantly cheaper!) underwired sports bras. They are really well made, super supportive and currently on sale too!

Cluckycluck · 03/03/2025 15:04

Maaree! I will never wear a different bra. Pricey but worth every penny.

Worthalltheyears · 03/03/2025 15:08

M and S ones are good - been using mine for ages. They wash well too.

DressedToThe90s · 03/03/2025 18:17

Ah brilliant, thank you so much - some great recommendations there. Will have a look through them this evening!

I only wear the Sweaty Betty zero gravity now for running - I ran a marathon last year and no chafing.

DecafDodger · 04/03/2025 05:34

Shock Absorber Run is better than the Dmax.
Theres a company called Syrokan that seems to make copies of all the bestsellers from other brands, I have several and can recommend. I am not sure they do 28 or 30 back though.
