If you're a size 8 and short (circa 5ft 2) what are your measurements?

Wasn't sure where to put this. I put it in weight loss but had no replies, so trying here in the hope of a reply or two. As someone who has lost 7st now, I'm hoping there may be some others who can answer this.
I'm 5ft 2.5 and weigh 10st bob on. Bmi is 25.5. My measurements are 35in across my bust, 28in under bust. Waist (narrowest part) 26in. Hips (widest part) 35in. As of today, I've just been shopping and tried a variety of clothes on, both new and vintage. I'm a definite size 8. Even in older stuff. I'm interested to know if others have similar measurements and fit a size 8 as given my bmi is hardly great yet, I'm surprised.

You've made me get out a tape measure .... ! And what I suspected would be the case is that measurements don't tell you the whole story.

I am exactly the same height as you but weigh nearly 2 stone less at 8 stone 3/4 lb. However, I measure 33, 27.5 and 37.5 and really am a size 10 on my bottom half unless it's a skirt. I was a solid size 8 until I hit 50.

If you feel healthy and look healthy, great. I've read recent bits about waist to hips ratio being a better judge of health than BMI and I think you are proving that.

Thank you! It's weird, at my biggest (7st heavier) my waist to hip ratio was still in the healthy range, which I find mind boggling (it was 37in waist 47 in hips). I've always gained and lost weight the same way, so my shape has remained the same (fairly hourglass).
My partner, who is currently wanting to lose just 2st to a healthy bmi, carries all his weight on his middle. His waist to hip ratio is in the problem zone (over 1). He's all skin and bone everywhere else. It boggles the mind!

5ft1, 114lbs, no idea what my bmi is because it's a rubbish measure so what's the point?! 28, 26, 36 are my measurements and I'm a size 6-8 on top and 8 on bottom.
