I have frizzy hair with a wave, I'm looking to do a treatment which straightens my hair temporarily to save me having to straighten it everyday, has anyone done this at home instead of hairdressers? If so can you recommend products please x

Brazilian blow dry? Not tried it but it's worth a shot.

I have used a kit from Amazon a couple of times but it is very chemically and does make my eyes sting! However it does really work and has never damaged my hair. It lasts about 2 months. You do need good straighteners to make it work that get hot.

If it’s a Brazilian blow dry, that isn’t a straightening treatment, it’s for de-frizzing. When my hair was long I had a few. First one was amazing, I found they seemed to get less effective the more I had. I did wait months between them, could’ve been the treatment that was used in each salon being different I suppose.

I have a Kerasilk keratin treatment every 6 months at the hairdressers. Honestly it's amazing. Saves me so much time and so much money as not buying endless products (that never really worked) to get rid of the frizz!

Do you know what it's called please?

Kativa brazillian hair straightening kit. But I warn you it is very chemically!!!!

JudgeMenthol · 04/03/2025 17:37

I have used the Kativa, and also ANSWR.. the ANSWR is easier to use, and less smelly.. I have shoulder length hair and get 2 treatments out of an ANSWR 100ml bottle
