Foundation for late 30s skin

Morning everyone. I am looking for a new foundation (liquid or powder). I don't wear make up that frequently, but want something nice to help even out my skin tone a bit but generally like the Foundation to just look like my skin but better. My skin can be a bit dry in places, some fine lines but also the occasional hormonal breakout. I am very fair.

I definitely want something with more of a dewy finish as I am not keen on the matte look. I bought NARS light reflecting foundation in the Oslo shade about a year ago but don't like it, I find it too heavy, too matte and it feels like paint on me. Previously I used MAC Face and Body Foundation in C1, and I really liked the product but always found the colour a little warm on me... Both times I went to a store and was colour matched by someone at the beauty product stand.

Any suggestions for something I might like? Ideally something that I can go to a store and actually try to ensure the right shade. I am thinking of looking at the Shiseido Revitalessense skin glow, but not sure where I can actually try this, or the bare minerals loose powder. I have a few large boots near me and also a Space NK but sadly none of the large department stores.

boots no 7 hydraluminous is my go to for moisturising foundation:

Glossier Stretch Fluid is lovely. I am paler than pale and the shades really work. Feels light but nice coverage.Space NK will either offer to do your full face or give you a sample to take away. Also Chantecaille, but considerably more expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately I find the No.7 is always a little dark in tone for me, but I will definitely look into the Glossier one.

Marcelle golden glow illuminator. It's a one shade and it is amazing.

L'Oréal true match or sculpted by Aimee are my current 2 favourites for lighter day time use. I use il makiage for a night out. Used to love MAc studio fix but not so keen anymore.
