Getting married in 6 months and just curious what you did in the lead up to getting married

I have stepped up my gym game and cut out all crap (no alcohol, refined sugar, minimal salt)

My skincare routine now has Tretinoin
I am going to be getting monthly hydra facials
Will get a vampire facia 2 weeks before
Hair masks X 1
drinking tonnes of water
eyelash serum
massaging hair with rosemary oil
no heat on hair
making sure I sleep for 8 hours

anything I could add?

I’m 30

I got married in 1981 at the age of 22. I went to the hairdresser in the morning and did my own make up. That's all.

BashfulClam · 01/03/2025 18:21

Nothing special just what I normally do and got my nails, hair and makeup done.

You may want this to be moved to the style and beauty page op as you may find you get more advice there.

Fwiw, I was 27 and didn't do anything in preparation for my wedding, except got my hair, nails and make up done and I looked great (if I do say so myself). I honestly would save my money for something else, but as I say, if you want advice about beauty treatments etc, the style and beauty page would be better

It sounds like you're already doing all the right things. Baby botox?

That’s reassuring.

Im really trying to hold off on Botox. Paranoid
about weakening muscles. That whole thing could have been totally debunked though

I have the faintest line above one eyebrow but I can very much live with it at this stage: only notice it when I am severely dehydrated.

I have no idea what most of the stuff you are having done are

For me I got married in 98
I shaved my legs ( just for the honeymoon )
Brushed my hair
Put some lipstick, mascara ( I think ) and eyeliner on.

So I’m probably not the best person for this thread 🥴

Have a lovely day though

Nothing except got my hair and makeup done in the morning! Like PP I don't have a clue what half of the things on your list are. I got married about a decade ago but I'm about the same age as you now, I married quite young.
