Where's your swimwear from?

Looking for something affordable but reasonably flattering.

Tried m& s, John lewis, Tu and not seen anything that fits / I like.

Don't want black. Ideally want a non floral pattern.

No cut outs or cups.

Wondering if there are other brands I might not have considered? Thanks!

I buy Boden, Fantasie or Pour Moi- have tried them on for sizes in shops and bought them all half price or less on Vinted with tags still attached.

EBearhug · 01/03/2025 10:07

Decathlon.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 01/03/2025 10:13

M and s and tu, probably a bit early

AlexandraJJ · 01/03/2025 10:21

Ive recently bought some from the Reiss sale, boohoo and whilst in the canaries last week as they were unusual designs. Pour Moi look interesting. I can never make up my mind whether it’s worth splurging or not on swimwear so I have a mix of both

portocristo · 01/03/2025 10:24

Tik Tok shop , they are amazing and cheap but look like sea folly quality.

Darkclothes · 01/03/2025 10:28

I have a tankini set from matalan- but its black!

myladyjane · 01/03/2025 10:55

I have a super flattering cossie from Amazon. It's got ruched panelling over the tummy and is cut for a generous bust. I have a teal and a black version. The brand was suggested on here I think although uselessly I can't remember what it was. Maybe worth a search for ruched swimming costume in there and see what comes up?

Lovelysummerdays · 01/03/2025 10:57

Lands end does nice swimsuits I have a black one. It doesn’t have cups but there’s support. Always a coupon or discount.

obsessedwithfreshbread · 01/03/2025 11:02

It depends what it's for, if it's actually swimming than can't beat sports direct.
If it's holiday swimwear then Tesco have really good stuff, a small range is already out but there will be more in a few months. Next also have really nice pieces

ClioMuse · 01/03/2025 11:04

For swimming as a workout, I like Zoggs. Have also used JD Williams - not as chlorine resistant though.

Following as I'm rubbish at finding nice swimwear.

I feel your pain. I struggle to find something flattering as I've a slight bump due to a c section. So far the Zoggs have been good but I've also found flattering JD Williams sports type swimwear too. Speedo did nothing for me.

mynameiscalypso · 01/03/2025 11:11

I bought some great swimwear in Land's End last year. I also rate Asda swimwear but it might be a bit early for the more fun pieces

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 01/03/2025 12:12

I was searching for a rash vest and swim shorts last summer, in size 22. Got a matching set off Temu for £10.
This year I'll be looking for another set in size 16/18 so it'll be Temu again.
I eagerly anticipate the day when I reach my target weight and can start investing in more expensive kit.

Dontopenthetrapdoor · 01/03/2025 12:15

I’ve had a couple of nice costumes from Animal and would buy from them again 🙂

carrierbags · 01/03/2025 13:16

Tesco's F&F. I get all majority from there and also a few from accesorize

LadyRoughDiamond · 01/03/2025 13:59

Another vote for Biden here. Built to last, and lots of top/bottom options for bikinis.

Have also done well with Next over the years.

Mishmashs · 01/03/2025 14:04

I’ve bought a nice two piece with good coverage for cold water swimming from the salt sisterhood. It’s reversible and I love it! And a new black swimsuit with scalloped straps from M&S.

MadKittenWoman · 01/03/2025 14:20

Bravissimo or EBay. 30G so it's the the easiest solution.

OohKittens · 01/03/2025 15:08

Magisculp longer leg. It really does make you look an inch smaller.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 01/03/2025 15:20

Lands End
Tugless range
Tall fit

cooljerk · 01/03/2025 19:02

Fantasie - I buy one piece swimsuits in my bra size and they always fit

Boodahh · 01/03/2025 20:57

Fatface and
Zoggs - this is very flattering
