Red and Gold?

I have a beautiful long red evening dress for my wedding at the end of this year. I am wearing gold jewellery, and was thinking my shoes, bag and fur shawl could also be gold? Would that look good? Or should I stick with an off white shawl and shoes? I'm just not sure about introducing the third colour...but then does my jewellery count as a colour? I just don't know what works best - AND only I can choose because only I have seen my dress!! I would be very grateful for any thoughts.

This is the dress - no, this 51 year old doesn't look like that in it!

I personally wouldn't be so matchy. Do you need a bag & fur shawl?

Choiceschoices2 · 26/02/2025 21:16

I thought a bag for lippy? And the shawl in the shop was so beautiful! Went around the tops of the arm, more a bandeaux type thing. October might be chilly, or is it just a waste? I've never played this wedding game before😂

I suppose it depends on the venue?

White fur with that dress would look great

Not close enough to Christmas for that look, in my view.

Day or evening?

Choiceschoices2 · 26/02/2025 21:32

It's a daytime wedding, into evening, and in a hotel, so I will be warm enough inside...

Oh in that case whatever makes you feel lovely x

I'll go all red for everything. White would turn you into Mrs Santa.
