What jacket meets my needs?

Now that the weather is milder (SE) I'm searching for a transitional jacket. I've been wearing a mid length Uniqlo puffer for weeks (too hot) and yesterday wore my leather jacket but was boiling (thanks peri).

I own a trench coat but I find it fiddly to wear on days with my young DC as it's long and I'm often crouching down, and I don't like the cropped trench coat look on me. I don't want suede in case it rains. So what does that leave?

What type of jacket would suit my needs for the next few weeks / months please?

I've got a regatta zip up bomber jacket which is windproof and rain resistant but not padded. Big enough to wear a jumper under if needed. Has a hidden hood too.

I just bought this one (I didn’t get mine from Amazon so was able to try it on in store) and it looks really nice on and smart enough for work surprisingly
