Wide fit wellies

Can anyone recommend some wide fit and slightly larger calf wellies? I have some my jileon which are great but they have sooo much room at the ankle and my foot swims around even with thick socks. Need for dog walking so under feet comfort too

Thankyou

Have you tried ankle wellies? I recently got some merry boots (I’ve got chunky calves) and they’re brilliant. Comfy and cosy too.

Jileon advertises a lot on my SM. Never tried them personally but worth a look? They do ankle boots too.

The aldi neoprene boots are good although it's hit or miss whether they have them in stock.

I have Dunlops which are slightly shorter. They're comfortable enough and cheap. Not very stylish though!

The Wide Welly Company is brilliant. Various sizing and fab patterns. Last very well.

JD Williams do some

I have a pair of Mountain Warehouse neoprene wellies. They're brilliant! The neoprene mashed the leg part slightly stretchy. I can even tuck my trousers in, yet they're not lose or flappy if I don't. I like to put a shaped insole in my boots as I have fallen arches. With the insole and the neoprene, these are the most comfortable wellies I have ever had.

Warm Wellies! I’ve small feet and big calves, these are the few boots that fit perfectly. Even over jeans or thicker trousers.

VinoEsmeralda · 22/02/2025 23:09

Used to have Aigle however they now only give 1 Yr warranty and last 3 pairs all went at 13 months. First pair lasted 7 yrs ish.

I bought mountain warehouse ones and so far love them. Trousers fit inside, warm and best of all £50.

Bareback Footwear. A bloody revelation. Not cheap but they’ve revolutionised my dog walking. Well they did until I had a mahoosive operation and now I can’t walk ………

SurreyisSunny · 23/02/2025 08:30

@VinoEsmeralda is that these neoprene ones or some other style?

@SurreyisSunny those are the ones . I've been really surprised by how good they are, especially bearing in mind they were only £50

BlumminFreezin · 23/02/2025 08:41

Have you checked what size your current Jileon's are? They do both wide calf and extra-wide calf, if your current ones are the extra-wide you might just need to size down?

I'm not at home right now to check, but I suspect I have the men's model. It looks longer to me. I have wide feet, so men's boots often fit better, especially once I've added my arch support. If you find women's shoes tend to fit you fine for width, the women's model might be better.

Le chameau. Brilliant boots

Jenny2206 · 23/02/2025 11:18

ilse Jacobsen lace up wellies are good for wide calves but narrower ankles - as can adjust fit to wider/narrower where needed. https://www.ilsejacobsen.com/collections/rainboots
