My engagement ring arrived this morning and I'm so in love with it, can I see yours?

Mine won't photograph - the diamonds reflect the light too much. Is an antique 'old cut' diamond (from my G. Grandmother's ring (she got engaged in 186?) & was given to both granddaughters by my grandmother to make rings from & 2 smaller 'emerald' cut diamonds from another family piece. Cost us a small fortune to have made up, but it will go to my DSD as I don't have any daughters to leave it to.

Is that a peridot?

I love yours, they're pretty. I'm planning on wearing them separately (Engagment ring on right hand) I actually already have the ring because I ordered it while waiting for the engagement ring and it's really comfortable. It's this one, crushed opal inlay

Mine's very small compared to some of the rocks on here, but I'm a small jewellery person!

Very plain, but 2.4 carets of plainness.

I never had an engagement ring - at the time (over 50 years ago!😱) dh thought ‘getting engaged’ was desperately uncool. We just set a date.

Instead he bought me this right after the birth of dd2, which TBH meant rather more to me.

My DH proposed with no ring, as he wanted me to choose it, a year to the day that we'd met. Then we had a bit of a giddy wander around jewellers before settling on the ring.

It's been added to over the years with wedding band, then other rings for special birthdays.

We get married in 2 weeks!!

Here's mine. 3 carats, Victorian. The wedding band below was made bespoke by my friend.

Congrats OP, lovely ring. I love opals but would be scared I'd damage it. My engagement ring is a platinum diamond solitaire, plain platinum wedding band with matching diamond eternity ring. They're beautiful and I love them but nothing out of the ordinary for anyone else looking at them.
This one was my 10th anniversary gift, the main stone is Alexandrite set in platinum.

Wish I had nicer fingers 😂 middle ring was my grandmother's wedding band 🥰

Mine is quite similar to this, I had a platinum band made that sits flush underneath without being ‘v’ shaped. Will get a pic.

Love this thread! My engagement ring is Victorian, 5 diamonds with scrollwork on the sides which you probably can't see.
Wedding ring is Edwardian with 3 tiny diamonds inset. I love both. I'd love an eternity ring to go with them but would need not to overpower the engagement ring as it's quite small (but v sparkly!) I'd like emerald or ruby and diamond for that :)

My first engagement ring with xh I still love and wish I could wear! It's a flower - beautiful dark emeralds around a diamond.

This is mine. It's 36 years old and I'd choose it again. I adore coloured stones, especially rubies.

I've loved looking at all of these beautiful rings, and reading the stories behind them. Here is mine. It's difficult to make out, but it's a yellow diamond in a halo setting. Bought on our 10th wedding anniversary, as we were putting all of our money into a house renovation when we got engaged.

Here’s my replacement engagement ring, almost identical to the original which wore out after 35 years of happy service. The full eternity ring joined us after 30 years. I had to get my wedding band resized last year for the first time when my poor old knuckles swelled due to arthritis.

Love a bit of sparkle.

Mine was an upgrade from a cheaper ring as we were skint in the old days. I do love it as it was a suprise from DH but I far prefer Emerald cut rings. First world problems I know.

I wear mine on my right hand too as it’s a Marquise diamond and I didn't like any wedding bands that fitted with it. I have a half eternity baguette diamond wedding ring so I have sparkle on both hands!

I've no idea why my photo is 'under review' . It's just a ring on my finger!
