I buy a lot of lipsticks, but find they wear off, feel too dry, or I just don’t like them.
I have tried Clinique, Mac, Prada, Estée Lauder, loads of supermarket brands and need some inspiration.
What’s your favourite brand? Thanks

Could it be the state of your lips that is more of a concern? In that they aren't the best base for the lipstick? Would it be worth trying a lip scrub or mask? Just a thought.

I’ve had em all. Ford/dior/ Aldridge

The primark lustre red at 99p is incredible.

Plus you MUST lip line. Line then rub down your lip with the end of the pencil (if a Mac one)

Thanks, hadn’t thought of a lip mask.

I like the Chanel Liquid lipsticks - stay on really well and not too drying.

Don’t think I will go back to the normal stick type lipsticks I’ve used since my teens.

They are very pricey though so I will be looking for cheaper options if anyone has any ideas?

Will definitely be checking out the Primark Lustre Red next time I am in.

Lipstick Queen, Hourglass and Charlotte Tilbury. I used Bobbi Brown Sandwash pink all the time a decade ago but Nars is my most used one in my handbag. Nothing wrong with supermarket lipsticks - it’s the perfect shade and texture that matters. I like matte but I’ve never got on with MAC - far too drying.

I never line my lips.

Can't stand it when people have make up rules, it's really dependant on what suits each person.

Op, Mac has at least 3/4 different types of lipstick, which ones have you actually tried?

Sounds like you need to wear Vaseline to bed every night and work on getting them hydrated

The Mac mattes have changed and aren't so drying now

The new NYX glossy liquid stains are amazing

You should try the lip liner, I also never used to, and I often wear strong red lipstick. But lip liner is very info and I kind of started doing it and it really is the dogs.
