M&S - if you are reading this, can we please have more smaller sizes in stock?

Size 8 is always the first to go out of stock. Petite size 8 in particular. Does that not tell them something??

And short leg lengths, I go on about this all the time

Ilovelowry · 21/02/2025 20:35

Never any 32D bras in my local shop. I'd love to impulse buy some underwear while I pick up some sourdough but no shakes. Bonkers as its a super affluent middle class and youngish market.

namechangeGOT · 21/02/2025 20:36

Whilst we're sorting out the smaller sizes they're neglecting to stock can they please also stock 32 G in nice bras. Not parachute granny bras but the nice ones?

simonthedog · 21/02/2025 20:39

Also agree about long lengths, never available in store

SneakyLilNameChange · 21/02/2025 20:48

It does feel sometimes in an effort to have the full range of sizes (as they should!!) that some of the more common ones just sell out immediately and no one is bothered. I know 16 might be the average but there’s still a lot of size 10 women who want the new clothes!!

That their largest demographic is still petite baby boomers?
It makes sense, boomers are probably the only demographic (besides teenagers) who aren't in their majority overweight.

Where are you all that has loads of size 22? My local M&S seems to have entirely stopped stocking anything over a size 20, not one single item available in an 22 apart from knickers!

This!!

I am a size 22 and can't shop in store as they don't stock my size at all. Where are these racks full of size 22s 🤯

willowstar · 22/02/2025 04:41

My local store doesn't stock anything under size 10.

I am size 6/8 at M&S and can hardly ever get anything online as out of stock. Barley look at the website anymore as just really unlikely to find what I want in stock.

Was in the central London branch near my work recently when caught out by cold weather. I couldn't find a single jumper in my size. Really frustrating.

LindorDoubleChoc · 22/02/2025 04:57

They never have any size 12 shoes or slippers, or trousers to fit a man of 6ft 4in either (speaking on behalf of DH). Someone should send this thread to their PR!

AllRightNowt · 22/02/2025 05:07

I always see 8s and 20s and often in the sale, but no 12s and 14s. Our store is decent now for long jeans, but for years I felt I was a giant amongst hobbits.
It's funny someone saying long trousers are never long anymore, I've been finding the opposite! Tops however are a different matter, never quite long enough, blouses never stay tucked in, I wear men's shirts most of the time now if I'm suiting up.

AllRightNowt · 22/02/2025 05:13

Men's shirts however are ridiculous now. My OH has a wardrobe full of M&S shirts, but now he can't find any that fit. He's a big lad, but their sizing has definitely got smaller. Plus many things only seem to go up to 2xl.

JMAngel1 · 22/02/2025 06:42

I just wish a 6 was a 6- it’s more like a bloody 10 at M&S. I’ve just written it off as somewhere I can’t shop.

suburburban · 22/02/2025 07:22

Pyjama tops definitely shrink in their pj sets and go shapeless

Yes tops are so short

TheChosenTwo · 22/02/2025 07:29

Never anything I like in long length. Always plenty of regular and short.
I have quite a small one near my work, it’s a bit rubbish really.

ASDnocareer · 22/02/2025 07:40

I’m a 6 and always found it hard to find my size. I’ve also lived in different places (up North, and the midlands) and had same issue at all of the stores I’ve been to.

I’m now living in London where there’s loads of M&S stores for me to choose from, but still haven’t found one which stocks my size

knitnerd90 · 22/02/2025 07:43

I used to be a 22 and they never had it in! What sizes they did have seemed random.

honestly, I would think that demand for certain sizes might vary by location, but M&S' stock system isn't set up to analyse sales and try to tailor stock to demand.

Agree re the small sizes. Also, so much vanity sizing!!! Their size 6s these days are like a 10 from 20 years ago. It’s a joke!

Thankyou!
I've been saying this for years.
I'm a size 8 and M&S vanity sizing absolutely drowns me.
Whenever I voice this tofriends & family, I'm always told I am wrong and their sizing is teeny tiny 😂
Even other shoppers browsing instore complain of tiny sizing 🤐

I don't even bother going anymore.

Gymbunny2025 · 22/02/2025 15:17

Also agree on vanity sizing. I ordered a size 6 vest last year that I wanted to be form fitting as per the website but it was massive!!! I took a photo of it for a friend next to another vest I own true to size and it was comically big. Such a shame
