Starting again with my skin

I've never done too much to my skin - use No.7 or Sukin cleanser, toner if I have it, then day cream. Basic approach to makeup (No.7 light foundation, blusher) But feeling as though I should do more as I age (now 37). Skin looks a bit dull.

Does anyone have any recommendations of great brands (ideally sustainable) but keeping things simple?

My only criteria is that it must be cruelty free and not cost a bomb. Recently saw a recommendation for Erborian CC cream which looks great but is £21 for the travel size!

Meant to say I have the faint start of wrinkles on forehead and around eyes but they don't bother me. No acne etc but T zone can get a bit oily. I am very fair (a "deep winter" according to online colour test!)

The Ordinary by Deciem. They have a quiz you can take that will build you a regimen based on your specific skin concerns.

Liz Earle. Cleanse and polish. Muslin cloth will give gentle exfoliation and hopefully brighten skin a bit. Skin tonic. They have range of moisturisers. A good basic but effective regime. They also have other products for specific concerns or pampering.

Ultrasun face. They do SPF 30 and 50. You can apply moisturiser over it once it's dried if you need it.

Sorry, meant to say Liz Earle products have the leaping bunny :)

My 3 things are skin+Me at night, vit c serum and spf in the morning. Actually I also use a cleansing balm as its gentler and more moisturisering. I don't always use the same brands but stick to the same ingredients. At the mo I'm using the inkey list oat cleanser, and boots vitamin c day cream which is spf 50.

This link for skin+Me gives you your first and 5th month free (just 3.50 p&p) and give me £10 if you want to try.
