Vitamin E oil? Aloe Vera? DD has bright red mark on face and I’m trying to speed up healing

I think she caught at her face with a snagged nail… whatever caused it she now has a bright red mark on her cheek. Looks like the aftermath of a bad acne spot that’s been squeezed and damaged the skin quite deep if that makes sense (but it wasn’t ever a spot)

She’s getting v self conscious (it’s been bright red for almost 2 weeks) and I want to try to help heal the skin a bit quicker if that’s possible. I remember in my younger days putting pure Vit E oil on bright red acne marks but I don’t actually know if it did any good! I enjoyed feeling I was Doing Something 😆

Aloe Vera gel instead maybe?

She’s only 12 so I’m not going to go at it with anything too potent!

My ds hit the bridge of his nose which healed quickly but the red mark was still there months later. Researched and read its because the circulation there isn't good enough to shift it quickly. Started daily massage and diminished within days, completely gone in 2 weeks.

So I'd try massage, it's unlikely to hurt. Sudocrem is also fantastic when skin just won't heal.

Ahhh good old sudocreme, thank you, will try! Massage a great idea, I wonder if that’s what made the vitamin E oil ‘work’ when I used to use it on red acne marks!

Skin heals from the inside out, so try making some home made bone broth. That stuff is full of collagen and fat which the skin needs to heal.

Have a look at Xoe Bee Bee products online the before and after results are amazing. We only use her products in our household now and my family too - it's cleared up my nieces eczema within weeks. Also my scar from c section is completely resided to a confident scar that I'm happy to wear a bikini with these days.

Avene Cicalfate - heals without drying or scabbing.

Oh thanks so much everyone!! She loves bone broth so that’s a winner. Avene product looks fantastic. Off to order from boots now. Thank you

Hydrocortisone cream? That gets rid of red itchy bits.
