Hi. Has anyone ordered from this website ? I’ve got dresses from meem and find the sizing quite good (or a bit bigger than other brands) would you say this brand is similar / good sizing? What about the quality?

thanks!

I have a jumper and a cardigan, bought during lockdown. Still wearing them. The cardigan is getting s bit worn in one elbow, that’s all.

Beautifully warm. They are very useful pieces to dress up or just wear with jeans.

Businessflake · 19/02/2025 20:18

I’ve ordered quite a few bits over the years, all excellent quality. I do find the sizing a bit variable though so read the guidance for each item (usually says if you need to size up or down).

I think the silk shirts/blouses are actually really good value.

Gymbunny2025 · 19/02/2025 20:18

I love Sézane. Really great quality and I think true to size. Dry clean only does mean exactly that though (I'm an idiot and ruined a skirt on a hand wash cycle 🙈).

They sent me a Christmas present (make up bag and lipstick) and often enclose a free fabric shopper or scarf with your order.

I'm pretty sure free returns too.

The quality is terrible, sorry to say. They seem to focus heavily on influencer marketing and their pieces look very stylish on photos. I've ordered 2-3x and been disappointed every time. Nothing from the brand has held up for regular wear and tear. Their t-shirts literally fall apart in the wash and end up with holes so they have to be binned. Even my Primark tshirts have never had that happen.

I feel it would be fair if they sold their clothes as fast fashion, similar to Zara. However the price point is similar to brands like J Crew or Abercrombie&Fitch and that's really taking the piss.

I've bought quite a lot of their clothes over the years including several pairs of jeans, work trousers, knitwear, silk shirts, velvet jacket & shirts & i just don't recognise what @User746353 is saying

I've had zero problems with quality whatsoever.

In fact I bought an archive embroidered jacket & its fully lined & super heavy!

I also buy from me+em and love their clothes too.

The only thing I watch out for with Sezane is the length of the body of blouses / shirts. For me they can be a little on the short side. I'm tall but funnily enough don't have any issues with trousers even with a 34" leg

I think the quality is 100% higher than zara, by several notches. I don't consider them fast fashion & the attention to the detailing is good, tape on seams etc which I've never seen on zara

Gymbunny2025 · 19/02/2025 20:42

I agree the quality and synthetic fabrics of Zara/mango etc are very fast fashion (love both still)

But Sézane is cotton/silk/wool/lined fabric mainly. I've got 4 t shirts and 3 of them are really thick cotton.

Absolutely NOT true.

I’ve got quite a few items from Sezane and have never had a problem with the quality, it’s always been very good. I do agree with others in that the sizing can be variable. I now usually order multiple sizes and I’ve done plenty of returns with them and had no issues.

Farreleye · 19/02/2025 21:14

I have ordered quite a bit over the past few years, the quality is variable imo. Some pieces are going strong after many many wears and others haven't held up well at all; I have a beautiful floral cardigan but it's genuinely the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn and looks like crap not even a year on (£130 as well). Worth a try, they do returns.

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 19/02/2025 21:14

I love sezane! Wish I could afford more but never had an issue with quality. Not sure what @User746353 has been doing - too hot a wash perhaps or machine washing things that are dry clean only?

Livefreely · 19/02/2025 21:16

I have ordered a few knitwear pieces, all amazing quality compared to high street and definitely worth the extra!
agree with PP about sizing- I am short and typical size 10 but I wear an xxs as I find the knitwear in baggier side

Yuja · 19/02/2025 21:19

I love sezane - the knitwear comes up big though, I find the rest true to size

Achyarms · 19/02/2025 21:43

Great quality. French sizing so true sizing not vanity sizing

Summerdew · 19/02/2025 21:50

The only thing I don’t have from Sezane are trousers / jeans. The size guides are pretty reliable and everything I’ve bought has been great quality. Love the knitwear.

narniabusiness · 19/02/2025 22:50

Agree that the quality is good and the knitwear runs large. Also the trousers are very long. I have to take them up (I’m 5.5 and don’t usually have to do this). I’m not so keen on their more recent collections but a bought quite a few things a couple of years ago.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/02/2025 23:46

I have a few knits and really like them - I’m a 10/12 and like an oversize fit and order M and L to see which I prefer. (L is a 12 on their size guide.) I also have a couple of t-shirts and actually don’t think they are great, definitely not worth the price point and I wouldn’t buy again. They have washed badly despite careful handling.

I really don’t like that they gift so much to influencers. There are people I follow on TikTok who get a monthly parcel of items they select.

I don’t agree with this. I have quite a few items and quality of them all is good. As others have said, sizing can be variable. In general I find most of their dresses true to size or slightly on the bigger size. I don’t know about knitwear.

LipglossAlly · 13/05/2025 13:44

I love Sezane and have ordered multiple pieces which are worn in heavy rotation!
There is advice available on whether to size up or down for each piece of clothing which I find to be very reliable.

Some pieces of knitwear are on the itchier side, so I would always make sure I read the composition first before ordering anything.
