50's and dry skin, usually use Double Wear like a concealer but recently tried IT Cosmetics foundation and I liked the demi mattenes of it but it got very dry as the day worn on.

Soooo, looking at Eborian now. Which one would be better for me?

Hi I bought a mini tube of each to try. I love them both but they are completely different products on my skin. The CC I love to use daily as a day cream / all in one. It gives me a no make up make up feel. It is expensive but only one product which is multi purposing. The BB is more like a foundation and I put it on top of the CC or another day cream when I am dressing up. It is runnier and more coverage than the CC. I am your age. But other people's experiences will vary.

Thank you! Where did you buy the mini tubes from please,I don't want to waste money on something that's not suitable.

Space NK if there's a shop near you, otherwise Boots on line with free click and collect to a store. The small tubes are still v pricey at £21 but they last a surprisingly long time. Look for points offers with Boots

I prefer Erborian BB over their CC cream. The shade I use (Nude) is only available in the BB cream for some reason. It looks very natural on, much more natural that IT Cosmetics CC (that I used to use but it was too heavy for my taste - although the SPF in it really worked well!)

Game0fCrones · 19/02/2025 00:15

I bought the Eborian BB cream in nude but its too mat for my mature skin. The CC cream only comes in mid to darker shades which is a shame.

Trinny does a good BFF CC cream but the lighter shades are always sold out. Ive tried Claire and Jemima but theyre both dark and orangey coloured.

Still searching ...

I'm not a fan of the BB cream - it looks really matt and a bit mask-like on my skin - but the CC cream is wonderful and I now use that every day.

@Game0fCrones I used the CC cream in 'clair' and that's fine for me, I'm usually fair/light.

You can get the £21 smaller tubes from Amazon on Prime delivery.

Another one I've just tried is the Dr Jart BB cream which I also like.

I’m 50,very dry skin. I use Erborian CC on days when I want to use something more than moisturiser (I very rarely wear makeup, never been one to wear much) and love it, the no make-up feel appeals to me.

I put it on over a very thin layer of my usual moisturiser and it makes my skin the holy grail of glowy,(not shiny),evens it out colour-wise and somehow smooths it and yep,it’s magic for me.
I get so many ‘Your skin looks lovely, what have you done to/got on your face?’ comments when I’ve got it on,even from my teenage daughters (no higher praise than that!).
Worth every penny,so I buy the 45ml tubes now. I have one each of the Clair (light) and Dore (dark) and mix them on the back of my hand as needed, according to how pale or tanned I am throughout the year. (I go through the Clair a whole lot faster in the UK with little sun, obviously!) Last me ages, you don’t need much - I use half a little fingernail sized blob total for my whole face, maybe?
