How to look polished?

I’m in my late 20s. I’m 5ft 2, with a BMI of 24.

I have been working on a capsule wardrobe with good quality clothes, which I love. I typically gravitate towards classic designs. I exercise by walking and swimming 2/3 times a week.

I wear make-up in a natural style (foundation, which is matched to my skin colour, brown mascara and I fill in my brows a little.) However, no matter what I do, I never look put together.

I feel frumpy and bloated, even though I’m not overweight at all.

Has anyone got any tips for me?

Watching with interest myself….

A few things that do make me feel better are:

  • Having my nails done professionally each 4 weeks. I probably should go each 3 weeks but at £52 a time, 4 weeks is better and they don’t look bad even by the end
  • Eyebrow lamination and lvl lash lift. If I stop doing this for a while and go back to it I remind myself I feel much better and feel more put together.
  • Nice underwear, that fits properly
  • I always feel nicer if I’ve removed any hair, even if it’s under clothes.

Hope that helps ❤️ You sound like your doing great already ❤️ x

My favourite tip to anyone wanting a little lift is to wear some red. Never fails me.

Can you elaborate? What do you mean you don't feel 'put together'. It sounds like you're choosing clothes that you like and making an effort.

Could it that what your choosing isn't comfortable? (you mentioned that you feel bloated)
