So I've just subscribed and have done an online consultation which is under review will this be for the some sort of Tret? I also seem to have other products, which have been added, are these optional? I am not sure if I need all of these or what needs product are like. I have the first 3 Months half price but its come to £46 still 😬. Any advice I want you use and whether I should remove other products if possible, I will it be less effective.

i have just started last week and went for it with the tret face cream (retinoid, also has azaleic acid it it) face wash, moisturiser, vit c serum and the azaleic acid cream. I use the tret at night then moisturiser. During the day I use the azaleic acid, then vit c then a bit of SPF 50. I have used all every day and have tolerated all well.
I cancelled the vit c and azaleic acid for next month and can put back in basket if I want them. You would still see benefits without the ‘extras’ but my main issue at the moment is breakouts so will use the azaleic acid during the day as well as in the night treatment one.

I must say the face wash is particularly lovely

I’m also using their moisturiser as my skin can get so dry and irritated with retinoids in the past (have used retinoids in the past for acne- now more for fine lines etc) but with the gentle cleanser and moisturiser so far so good x

I Think the moisturiser and face wash will last me way longer than 2 months

I loved the cleanser and peptide moisturiser so have kept buying those as needed. I use the azalaeic acid as and evening serum. I tried the vitamin c serum but didn't think it was particularly extraordinary.

I only use the personalised formula from Dermatica (tretinoin 0.05% and niacinamide or hydroquinone) and don't buy anything else from them. You don't have to buy the Vit C etc that's in your basket just now.
Are you just starting on tretinoin? If so I'd maybe ditch the Vit C before seeing how you get with tret as both are active and can burn your face if you're not used to them. I have used tretinoin for years but am still hesitant to try Vit C after the Ordinary one nearly made my skin fall off ages ago!

I stopped my tret subscription with them after a year. It did improve my skin but I struggled to make it work for me long term for a few reasons. I've moved back down to using standard retinal serums because I tolerate them better. That's just me though, a lot of people get along fine with it.

I bought the Vit C a couple of times but didn't like it. It's worth seeing how you get on with it but if you don't like it there are plenty of other Vit C products on the market.

I really like their cleanser and their sunscreen and would repurchase outside of having a tret prescription.

I only get the personalised formula. Never tried any of their other products. Their prescription skincare - especially tretinoin - is their uniqueness, you can get cleansers, Vitamin C etc anywhere.

Totallybannanas · 16/02/2025 17:42

Thank you I have ditched all the other products and just going for the personalised one. Thank you

@Totallybannanas you need to start slowly and build up your tolerance so I'd increase the time between your prescriptions to more than 4 weeks. Perhaps start off getting a new batch every 6 weeks and see how quickly you use it up. I use tret most nights and it still takes me more than 6 weeks to use one bottle. In fact, I've started using it on the back of my hands just to use it up!

I used the Dermatica Tret for the first month to see if it suited me and as soon as I established that I was ok with it switched to buying it from Pharmas Online because it's cheaper.
Never used any of their suggested products.

I use simple face wash, cleanse with Olay, apply tret and then when it's absorbed a little aveeno moisturiser.
In the morning I use the same aveeno and then a factor 50 face cream.

I originally used my favourite Waitrose Cleanser but found it made my face tingle a little. My current routine works well and 9 weeks in I feel I'm seeing results.

Agree with this. I made the mistake initially of letting one arrive every month for a while and ended up with a backlog that stressed me out until I realised I could alter the delivery. I used it 3 x per week initially so one every 2 months was about right.
