To look stylish, buy clothes that suit your body shape and colour. Since discovering mine (autumn pear), I feel alot more stylish. Also, buy clothes to suit your personality, ie, classic, boho, retro etc.

I think it's almost never where you buy, but what you buy and how you wear it. Doesn't matter where you get it, an item made of good materials that's well produced and that suits you can always look stylish.

I agree. One of my favourite dresses is from Sainsbury. Get lots of compliments on it.

Oh absolutely,

I have a budget for New Look but thanks to Vinted, for that money I wear Maje, Ba&sh, Farm Rio, Sezane, Uterque, The Kooples, some Boden etc…

I'm all about quality with clothes these days and I've found some great things on Vinted and in charity shops. It's hard now to find anything on the high street, even high end, that isn't polyester. Currently have a cashmere jumper, sprayed and hanging to air, and a vintage silk blouse just washed, both 'new' from Vinted. (I agree with a pp that items should be isolated and cleaned before going into wardrobe, just in case). It works if you look for quality things that you'll wear rather than just buying random bits because they're a steal.

I have a long search list of high end brands with the colours I am looking for and go from there.
Like others I've been able to experiment with different styles at a fraction of the cost.
