I’m attending a friend’s wedding in May, quite a large affair at a fancy country club type place.
I’ve not been a guest at a wedding for about a decade. Previously my go to would have been prom style / 1950s type thing, think Lindy Bop type thing with big bright petticoats. I might be being unfair to myself but just feel a little too ‘old’ (I’m 42) for quite that look now.
In the past year I’ve also lost a significant amount of weight, feel great about that but also that I really don’t know what my ‘style’ is these days, but would also like to be a little more adventurous than my usual go to, but no idea what that means in practice!
I’m now a size 12, pretty short at 5ft 2 and can’t wear heels these days due to a knee injury. I prefer to have the tops of my arms covered generally. Budget wise the max would be around the £150. The bridesmaids are in red so would like to avoid that (though probably would anyway). Pretty pale with dark brown hair.
I really don’t have a clue to start so would love any suggestions of outfits or even just where to look from you lovely lot!
