Former SAHM looking to revamp wardrobe - recommend me clothing brands!

Turning to Mumsnet for some style advice and help.

For context, I am 28-years-old and recently returned to the world of P/T work after two and a half years of being a SAHM to my first-born DD, during which I lived in jeans and plain tops and jumpers/food-stained clothing.

Now that I find myself with more disposable income, slightly more time and a tiny more mental space to revamp my wardrobe, I really want to buy some new pieces that fit my style but having looked briefly online, everything looks horrible, brown, baggy and shapeless!! I still have some of my old pieces such as dresses, jumpsuits and tops from Sezane and Free People, but to be honest I mostly used to shop from the high-street with the occassional statement piece, but I can’t find anything I like so I need brand recommendations please! Price range around the above mentioned brands is fine, ideally slightly lower for everyday clothing. Mostly looking for nice streetwear and some fancier pieces for date nights etc.

My style I would say is quite feminine, more on the elegant side and floaty but with an edge, if I had to be pushed to describe it? For example, a classic outfit would be a skirt with a beautiful tailored-looking top, knee-high boots and either a longline coat or a biker jacket. I am tall and thin, which somehow does not advantage me though so need brands that can work with that without making me look slouchy! That’s what I meant by shapeless clothes, I mostly prefer flattering, figure-hugging clothing as wider and looser cuts make me look like a gigantic stick with bad posture! I actually quite lie shoulder cuts etc as that makes me look elegant rather than with bad posture! I don’t mind shorter cuts and showing a bit of skin, so any brands with a Tall range would be great as otherwise dresses end up being incredibly short and inappropriate when I am looking for something above the knee! Brands like Missguided etc (I don’t even think this exists anymore?) never suited me as they preference women with something to show in the cleavage area, which I certainly don’t have!

I would so appreciate any recommendations as I can’t stand the clothes I wore for the past few years anymore!
