Hi everyone,

I caved and bought the Phillips Lumea. Did my first round yesterday. Hoping to achieve minimal leg hair and as balled as possible on my fanjo, underarms too. Naturally mousy brown hair and white skin. Not overly pale or tanned.

Has anyone used this before? How long before you saw results? I've spoken to a few ladies who did it twice a week for 6 weeks and got lovely results. I personally hate having pubes and want the lot gone and the reviews for the lumea seemed good. Too chicken to do waxes and I'm fed up of daily shaving it's becoming a bit of a more.

I have a 2 week hot holiday booked for June / July, do you think I'll have good results then? Any tips? Thank you!

I've got same colouring as you, got mine about this time last year and used it every week until this winter.

It was good on the legs, but not noticed any difference anywhere else and infact I stopped using it on my pits for a while as messing with that area (as you have to shave first as well) gave me sore patches.

You've reminded me I'll start up again now :) hopefully another season of bombardment will have a better effect this time

I’ve used mine every week since Xmas, instead of the every 2 weeks recommended. The hairs everywhere are definitely not growing nearly as fast, I can feel a tiny bit of stubble but it’s only visible if I look closely. However, I am only going a week between shaving as needed to shave before doing IPL.
This week is the last of the initial treatment then I’ll start on the stage where you’re supposed to do it once a month, although I might do it twice a month.
Be consistent and you should definitely have results before your holiday.

Ah thank you both! I'm not particularly hairy (thanks chemo) so my pubes are quite patchy anyway so hoping it'll have a good effect by June.

Did you ever use it without shaving or did you shave each time?

DD has been using ours every 2 weeks. Is it ok to do it more often?

Anyone have any tips for top lip as not getting a good connection for it to want to work.

I think the idea of shaving first is that it's more effective for the hair root alone to be targeted, whereas if u don't shave, energy is lost into the protruding hair shaft so not as effective as destroying the root.
