Comfortable shoes for holiday?

Off to Disney for two weeks in July so it's gonna be HOT. Am ok on the sandals front but I could do with a really good pair of comfortable trainers.

I've got a couple of pairs of Nike Air Max but they're a bit heavy/padded and feel they might be a bit warm to wear.

Can anyone recommend a good pair of lightweight but comfortable trainers or pumps?

I've been looking at Skechers but honestly I feel I'm 20 years too young for them (sorry if I offend anyone here) so if it's got to be Skechers, the less obvious kind 😅.

Really I just want something with comfortable soles.

There’s a Reddit thread called DisneyPlanning, I bet they will have loads of recommendations for this.

If I’m doing a long walk/standing in queues I would want a lot of cushioning. Maybe HOKA Bondi 8?

My podiatrist says sketchers the memory support ones are terrible for your feet offer very little support. I'd go straight for a decent pair of trainers for traipsing through the parks.

I find Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s excellent.

Thank you but way out of budget.

@Twirlywurly2 Oh, looking at the website now I see what you mean. They certainly weren't that expensive when I bought them.

Allbirds are great - lightweight and breathable. Worn at Disney before no issues

Fitflop branded shoes (not flip flops). Shop around as M&M Direct and Amazon often have them for better prices than they own website.

Their F-Mode and/or microwobbleboard sole shoes are especially comfortable.

I've just another pair of Hoff trainers for summer, they are pale green and pink...and so comfortable and light. They are the Cat ones, and i love the different coloured soles

Not worrying about brands, I've just come back from Rome and my bog standard Slazengers were brilliant. I noticed other people wearing them too.

I’d get some breathable-non Gortex-hiking shoes. Look for summer hiking ones. Far more supportive than trainers or Skechers. I wear Salomons at work and am on my feet all day. My normal hiking shoes are La Sportiva and can hike all day in comfort. If you’re on a budget, outlet centres are a good shout for Salomons or Adidas walking shoes.
