Have you seen anything nice in this vein?? Most work wear is easing towards the casual and stylish now, I think, which I like but I need to go old old school.

Thank you!

Karen Millen

That's where I would start.

The Fold is absolutely your friend here, the Palmerston in navy would be very suitable for your spec - I have it in burgundy and it looks so chic but covered up

Katrinawaves · 12/02/2025 18:31

These are good quality but not as spendy as The Fold

The pretty dress company has loads of dresses that would be perfect for an interview and they do various colours if you want to avoid black.

Wow they look exactly the same as the Fold, for sure. Fold have some sale stuff in their Outlet, even cheaper

HundredMilesAnHour · 12/02/2025 19:28

Absolutely The Fold.

Or for a cheaper option, look at Winser’s Miracle Dress.

Finery used to have a few suitable options (sometimes) but the quality and cut has gone very downhill in recent years so I’d avoid them.

Jaeger still get a few conservative pieces but watch out for cheap fabrics as they seem to have wholeheartedly embraced polyester where they used to use wool / silk.

Katrinawaves · 12/02/2025 19:37

The Fold is definitely nicer IMO - everything I have from there even if it doesn’t look like much on the page is very well cut and looks great on. My fav is the Arlington which I have in 3 different colour ways.

Libby isn’t a bad everyday option though - and also has some good pieces in their outlet section online worth looking at.

Quite a few on Karen Millen and not as spendy as some others...this?
