Hope this is ok here - sore ear piercing

I had my thirds done weeks and weeks ago. Maybe 6 months even. The hairdresser pulled one out with a brush and one healed so k had it re pierced maybe 3 months ago and it's still so sore. It's itchy and has a lump but no puss or gunk coming out. Just tender and itchy. Have bathed it with salt water on and off
Should I just give up on it ? Is there any hope it will now heal. It's only skin. Surely it should be ok by now ? Pierced with a needle both times of that helps but on a bit of a weird angle. Thank you 🙏

What sort of metal is it? Maybe your skin is reacting to it. Maybe try a healing spray e.g. neilmed is supposed to be good

I had to give up on my thirds after 5 months, my ears just wouldn't have any of it. Good news is they healed really, really fast after I took the earrings out.

I'd keep going, my 2nds took about a year to heal.

Did you have this pierced at a reputable piercer? I appreciate you say needle piercing. What piercing was used? Surgical steel?

cartilage piercings take MONTHS to heal. 3rds can be 4-6 months easily. They are often into the cartilage; mine are. You need to leave well alone and spray with a spray like protolind. Don’t twist, fidget, change. Wash and spray and it should heal.

I didn’t change my seconds and thirds for 6 months and even then tentatively. Even at 2 years I don’t leave them out for more than a few mins/shower.

I swear by germolene for helping tricky piercings to heal

Weird Sounding but crush up an aspirin and make a thick paste with cool boiled water or saline spray. Apply morning and night for a few days, worked a charm

Same piercing place that did my nose, daith and helix. These are just so sore.
I'll try a spray. They were placed with needle than an earring added but it didn't feel the same as the jewellery for the others.
