Looking at new jeans and wondering what the difference between the Sienna Straight and the Sienna Supersoft straight if anyone knows please? I've looked at the descriptions but wondered if any real life comparisons.

Also like the look of the Lily.

The difference is usually the feel of the denim. The softer one feels like it. You can always return what you don’t like. I really like M&S jeans and I’m wearing wide leg and flared ones at the moment.

Yes I think I'm going to buy a selection and return what I don't like! Need to do that for the lengths as well.

@PumpkinSpicedTea Long isn’t always that long! I’m 5ft 9ins and long is mostly ok but the wide ones come up a bit shorter than the flares. Depends on what shoes you wear too. I like M&S very dark denim as it’s flattering.

Was going to say theres so many different colours as well! I'm just under 5"10 so maybe better stick with extra long, though I know not all styles come in that length. Plus depends where you want them to sit and as you said, what shoes! The website says long is 33" and extra long is 35" but I am wary after reading old threads on lengths varying 😂

Not sure all of them come in extra long but the two you mention do. You can get both lengths. I’m just not a pale denim fan! Don’t wear heels much these days but you will know what suits you if you get a variety.

It’s so worth a trip to a massive m and s cos a try on if you can. The cuts vary so much. Maybe you are miles away but the cafes are good!

ZookeeperSE · 10/02/2025 17:38

The fabrics vary a lot too. Ordered the Lily and sent it back as the fabric was thin and cheap.

I've got a biggish store in my local city and going to have a look tomorrow!

I'll be trying on long and extra long and feeling the fabrics 😁

I’ve not bought the cheaper ones. At £30 plus they are great. My wide ones are top class denim. They look expensive!

The Sienna Supersoft are just that... really nice and soft jeans. I tried both on and thought the soft were worth the extra money. Very comfortable.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 12/02/2025 15:10

Unfortunately my local M&S really doesn't have much long or any extra long. I'm going to have to order and return which can be a faff but worth it I guess! I did get a good look at the different colours, feels etc though.

I'm going to try the supersoft @PatChaunceysFruitCake as I'm all about comfort these days and haven't been wearing jeans much as preferring comfier trousers!

I find as long as they have a bit of give, they are comfortable.
