Wool coat rain droplets not drying-help?

Hi,
bought a new wool coat, only worn twice now. Got caught in a bit of a drizzle yesterday night, just looking at the sleeves of the coat now and there are rain droplets still from the day before. Is this normal, will the coat just dry over time? It wasn't even that much rain so surprised it is still not dry??

I think coats (and other things) are coated with some sort of chemical stuff to keep them looking nice in store. I bought some towels once which looked and felt lovely but just moved water around after my shower as completely unabsorbent. Just hang it up somewhere with an air current or somewhere warm.

I guess the alternative is the rain soaks into the wool and it goes soggy? Sounds like it’s water repellent which is good. Certainly with a gortex type waterproof jacket you get this sort of beading. You either need to hang it up above a dehumidifier or maybe a radiator and could try blotting it with a towel.
