Can we talk about accessories?

Do you have a favourite category? What category are you overstocked, understocked and have just enough?

I have fours belts, two black, two brown, one set for waist and one for trousers. All good, leather belts that I have replaced my cheap plastic ones with. On the lookout for a white and light grey belts for jeans when I do not want an accent colour. I am just right in belts.

Bags - I have 4 crossbody chain strap mini bags - black, tan, hot pink and khaki. Black doctors style bag for work that fits laptop, on the lookout for a grey or taupe summer tote. Plum bucket back, black mini saddle bag, straw beach tote. All Furla, except tote from Jigsaw. Tiny bumbag that I wear with athleisure as a crossbody from Lulu Guinness. New grey shoulder bag from Furla is on its way. Objectively, I am overstocked in this category but even DH is always up for getting me a bag for birthday / Christmas as somehow I wear them all! And I look after them, they look as new even over 10 years old.

Sunglasses - two pairs, not really passionate, but would like an oversized pair that looks OK one my small face / head.

Jewellery - minimalist, only real gold that was gifted over many years. Only a few costume jewellery earrings for holidays.

Shoes - minimalist choices that go with everything. Black loafers, black ballerina, leopard loafers, black and nude courts, hot pink and leopard courts, all courts high heel. New white leather trainers and new On Cloud 5 in black are ready for spring. Black heeled tall boots, tall ankle tan suede heeled boots and just bought a pair of black lace up boots for a trip. Black, tan and gold sandals, all flat. Just right in footwear but would like a pair of black heeled ankle boots for winter workwear and suede Chelsea boots, not sure about colour.

Tell me about yours!

I don't consider shoes an accessory. In fact, for the most part, they are an absolute necessity, on a par with clothing. But maybe that's just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

If we're talking accessories, what about gloves? Scarves? Hats? Am sure there are probably more but chemo brain is particularly bad at the mo.

Sorry, not helpful!

😂

I love scarves as they can quickly add different colours. In winter I have a furry hat and in summer i have a couple of summer hats .I like bags as it means I can keep essentials in them. For me a bag is a needed item not just an accessory .I used to work with a man who got skin cancer as he would never wear a hat. He was asked to start using a cream and he even showed me his tube of special cream. At the time he had a few weeks to go before his appointment so I said he needed to buy a hat and start using the cream. His doctor actually said everyone who comes here needs a colleague like me so they can be sorted out. As far as I know he is still alive and he got better. I am retired now as he is and we don't keep in touch.

I also love a summer hat and wear mine a lot. I had to order one from a hat shop as high street ones never fit my giant head 😒. It is a great hat and if I lost it, I'd immediately re-order the exact same one.

Belts...I only have one and barely use it.

I have some handbags, but my backpacks get the most use by far.

I have a few necklaces which I wear and a few bracelets which I hardly ever wear.

I could always use more earrings as I always lost them, or the backs

I’ve gone through phases where I’ve got really into bags, belts, colourful trainers or jewellery. I’ve really streamlined everything recently in an attempt to have less stuff which all go together. So only 2 pairs of trainers, 1 pair of boots, 2 belts, an everyday necklace etc. I’m actually reorganising my wardrobe tomorrow & I’m super excited about it 😂

I'm Def overstocked in the scarf dept, I just love them. Plenty of gloves too.
Hats dont suit me so i only have a few winter ones.

What I'd like to get this year is a couple of decent belts as I only have cheap thin ones.
Also coloured tights.....don't currently have any but I'm feeling the urge to have brightly coloured legs for some reason!

Loooooove accessories, although defo don’t count footwear, it’s a separate category, lol. Bags, I have, err, a few. Also obsessed with sunglasses. Oh, and jewellery. Love hats too, particularly a baker boy. Just recently got a new pair of Vivienne Westwood sunnies, so gorgeous.

Oh, scarves - I only have one in charcoal, goes with everything.
Also black gloves only and hot pink but hardly wear them as DD has pinched my cropped faux fur jackets I wore them with.
Hats - Sweaty Betty running cap, white fur lined with a huge pom pom and a fleece pink one for sports.

I’ve got about 6 Uniqlo bags 🤦🏻‍♀️ cream, black, turquoise, black velvet, orange velvet & cream velvet. I much prefer the velvet ones so I might get rid of the others. Then I have 2 designed bags (1 YSL in black & 1 Louis Vuitton in brown monogram). My most used bag at the moment is a black leather phone bag from Mint Velvet (I also got this in taupe for Christmas which I’ve put away for spring). I have a very small black leather Levi’s backpack which is really useful when I’m out with the DC. Then an array for Longchamp totes. I didn’t realise I had so many…
