So as the title , I've just realised I've not taken it off .
It's only bb cream foundation , and I feel a minger for not getting back up , but I really can't be bothered .
Do you ever forget , and hopefully my face will not have fallen off by the morning !

This is what wet wipes are for!
I bought a pack for my nightshifts when I really CBA with a skincare routine.😁

GoldMoon · 06/02/2025 22:31

Yes ! I can actually reach some from here . Thanks for reminding me . Lol .

Goodness I rarely remember to take mine off, though that will probably get me kicked off S&B

Summerhillsquare · 06/02/2025 22:34

I am in bed face unwashed too 😅 but I don't meet Mumsnet standards generally!

MissEloiseBridgerton · 06/02/2025 22:40

This is the exact reason I have micellar water and reusable pads on my bedside table 😂

BitOutOfPractice · 06/02/2025 22:43

I’ve just had a shower and washed Mine off. That’s as good as it gets for me tonight. Relax op you’ll be fine.

ChangingHistory · 06/02/2025 22:44

I'm not high standards person but once I've realised I've forgotten I wouldn't be able to sleep so yes I'd get up and do it.

Comedycook · 06/02/2025 22:45

I slept in my make up for most of my twenties!

comedycentral · 06/02/2025 22:46

I used to get away with this post clubbing with my youthful skin, now I'd end up with a face full of spots the next day - joy!

Me too, and I used to wake up looking sexily tousled and smudgy-eyed. Those days are long gone 😭

I would have to get up and remove it OP and apply some facial oil.

Meh. One night won't kill you.

I either go the whole Hogg and spend ages cleansing, toning, facial yoga, night cream, peptides etc or I go to bed in full make up. It’s probably 60:40. I’m 50 and my face hasn’t fallen off yet.

GoldMoon · 07/02/2025 07:49

Up and double cleansed !

Btw it was a light hearted post , wasn't that concerned and it wasn't the first time either 😀

That's the worst. I like the Olay daily facial water activated wipes when I do this - quick and easy then bang on a bit of moisturiser.

isthismylifenow · 07/02/2025 07:58

Been there OP. If it helps any, I always think my skin looks better the next day if the make up is left on.

But, the only reason I make sure I take it all off now, is because I got a new really nice silk pillowcase and I don't want to leave foundation marks on it 😂

Moonlightstars · 07/02/2025 08:03

I am terrible and in 35 years of wearing makeup I probably only ever taken it off about three times. I also have no skin care routine and never wash my face with anything other than water!

Deathraystare · 07/02/2025 08:04

When I was younger I would not clean my face until the magic hour of 5am! I would plan not to remove it - after all I could remove it in the morning and by 5am I had to sit up0 in bed and take it off, could stand not to! But there had been times when I had started to remove it, then woke up (yes at the magic hour!!) with a bit of cotton wool in my hand and a hand mirror - I had fallen asleep with the lights on but still I managed to clean my face eventually!

Absolutely! To the naught corner with you!

I have sometimes left my mascara on until the next morning but most of the time when I get home it is a relief to get the stuff off!

EveryDayisFriday · 07/02/2025 08:09

I cleanse my face earlier, around 8pm because I'm usually too tired before bed to do a proper job. It gives my skin a couple of hours of breathing space to absorb the night cream and then I'll do a face oil massage at bedtime.

MonickerMonica · 07/02/2025 08:18

I don't wear foundation only a little eye makeup but always remove it with makeup wet wipes then slap on a bit of moisturizer. This is done sitting up in bed while dabbling on my tablet. Mumsnet dabbling is a must every night before I sleep.

What the buggery is facial yoga? 🫤

Macaroni46 · 07/02/2025 08:21

Rarely take my make up off. Have a good complexion and young looking skin. In my mid 50s. Been like this all my life. Think you'll be fine. Hope you enjoyed your early night.

Sawcootstoday · 07/02/2025 08:22

Rarely bother and there's no change in my skjn so it can't be that bad.

Dozycuntlaters · 07/02/2025 08:42

I've never bothered taking my make up off at night. My skin care regime is cleansing wipe and moisturiser every morning! I'm 53, have great skin and no wrinkles. I think sometimes less is more

KittenPause · 07/02/2025 09:37

That's what bedside micellar water is for

In the past maybe, not so lucky now 😁
