Prom dresses from reliable website Uk

Good morning all,

I am trying to find a reasonably priced prom dress for my daughter. She has found some beautiful dresses from a website called Stacees. I googled the returns policy and found a Reddit thread saying the returns are a scam and you only get £40 back and then they ignore you so that's a no-go.

I am aware of Next, Selfridges, John Lewis plus all other typical online brands such as Boohoo and PLT.

Any other kind of places that sell lovely dresses which are generally affordable? Say below the £250 bracket?

Any help or suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks

Second vote for JJs house. They also do a try before you buy service.

Debenhams online have lots of bridesmaids and evening dresses. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

Mine both got dresses from asos. One was the full tulle marlarky and dd2 got. Slip dress. One was £22 and the other £60ish.

We got both my DDs's from Ebay and then paid for alterations. Still cheaper than new.

We've actually gone with Stacee's. All of the bad reviews are based on their returns policy which looks awful, but generally people are pleased with the dresses.

They also got in touch via email after we'd ordered (a standard size off the peg) to check her exact measurements. So I'm hopeful that all will be fine, but will pay for local alterations if needed rather than try and return.

I'll update here when it arrives next month!

My daughter had hers from Stacees a couple of years ago and it was STUNNING for the price she paid . Honestly it would’ve been 4 times at least the price in a proper shop and not better quality .
She looked amazing and she was so happy with it .

My daughter has seen a nice dress on the Stacee’s website. I was just wondering what their sizing is generally like. Are they generous with their sizing, or are they true to size?

My daughter got hers from Quiz, she tried on in-store then we bought online (different colour which wasn't in-store)...
