I am struggling with what to wear lately, I'm 9 months post partum and have gained a lot of weight. I'm short - 5ft and my size varies some clothes are 14/16 sometimes 18 to be loose on my belly. I try to wear leggings or linen style trousers with a blouse or shirt style top then mid length blazer cardigans. I always look odd, frumpy and never look together, I can not wear jeans as they don't fit my belly and hips right at all and can't wear fitted tops as my belly looks pregnant still. Please can someone give me tips on how to dress I'm really struggling I think my height doesn't help as clothes never sit right on me.

I’m the same height as you and it’s definitely a challenge finding clothes that fit and are flattering.

If you could describe your style what would come to mind - casual, , minimal, sporty, boho etc etc?

places that are good for shorter people are uniqlo and surprisingly lately, M&S. On Uniqlos site they often snow quite a lot of items on different sized/shaped customers so you can get an idea sometimes. I’ll have a look on there and see if I can link to things I’ve got or worn in the past. I’ve lost over 2 st on Wegovy but before then I found stuff in there that I was happy wearing and felt good in. Same with M&S last summer. First time I’ve bought clothes in there for as long as I can recall.

I do aim for smart casual, yes actually I recently got a few blouses from m&s and they're lovely so may have to look online as they don't have too much in my one. Oh never heard of that place but I will have a look, thank you for your help xx

I took lots of screenshots from uniqlo items but for some reason seem to have lost the attach image option. Very strange. I’ll post them when I hopefully work out what’s happened.

I’ve just looked on the site stuff section and see they’ve stopped image attachment for the moment after some dodgy ones were posted. As soon as normal service is resumed I’ll send some pics of things I’ve got from uniqlo or things I’ve had. But if you go through each section - knitwear, sweatshirts, tops, bottoms, outerwear etc, you will hopefully get some ideas . Most of my clothes are from there as I find their proportions one of the best for shorter people
