I can't believe I need another coat but I think I do.
I think I am missing the kind of warm padded jacket one throws on for most small casual trips out of the house. I have smart coats. I have rain coats. I have a long warm puffer-type coat which got food use when walking the dog and watching children's outdoor sports.
Now that I wear more wide leg trousers and jeans, I feel longer coats don't really go with them. Nor does a quilted jacket. I think I need a shorter (warm) padded jacket but I don't suit many of them and don't like wearing sleeves that are too puffy.
Can anyone recommend a good style for someone hour-glass shaped. Early 50s but I don't want to wear a coat my mid-70s mother would wear. I think the long puffer looks okay as it is balanced out by being long and drawing attention to my (decent enough) legs. But that is lost if I'm wearing wide trousers. Help!
