Both leather, small black crossbodies.
I'd use it for evenings out.
Prices very similar.

I prefer the shape and look of the buckled one. I'm actually looking for something like that myself. Where is it from please?

ValentineValentineV · 03/02/2025 15:08

Probably the second one as the first one looks more solid which I don’t find comfortable.
The second type has been along for such a while though.

They are both from Fossil - the Danni and the Everleigh.
I agree re camera bags having been done to death to an extent! Maybe the buckle one is more of a classic?

I'm not sure about the chunky strap of number 2, now I think about it. But I prefer zips...

The camera one looks more comfy and easier to grab things out of, I know what you mean about bags with flaps/buckles/fasteners.

wipeywipe · 03/02/2025 15:26

i prefer the first one

TizerorFizz · 03/02/2025 15:27

Saddle bag style looks more stylish. I don’t like zips on show. Always look a bit unfinished.

rubiconartist · 03/02/2025 15:29

First one definitely.

ColdHenrietta · 03/02/2025 15:34

But aren’t they both ‘everyday’ bags? Rather than something that would visibly elevate whatever you’re wearing to definitively ‘evening out’ style?

Obviously an evening bag isn’t a strictly necessary accessory - but if I were setting out to buy a new one I’d want something that did that exact job.

evilharpy · 03/02/2025 15:44

I prefer the roundy one with the buckle. The webbing strap of the camera bag is a bit casual, which is fine but I feel like the other one could be dressed both up or down.

Yes - I should have been clearer. I use a much larger handbag day to day. This would be for when I go out and don't need to cart as much stuff! But not an 'evening bag' like glittery!

from your wording, that's exactly what I had assumed

The first one by a long way!!

magicmischief · 03/02/2025 16:05

Thanks all!! I've ordered the first one. Excited!!
I appreciate all the comments and opinions!

The first one. The shape looks a little more dressy and although I like camera bags I like them because they usually fit a lot in. The fact the 2nd one has two zips, I'd be forgetting what I had put in which section. I do prefer zups or flaps without a buckle for ease but the two zipped sections are not practical.

I have multiple bags for different needs. A smaller bag for when you go out is great.
