Really nice green waxed jacket anyone?

Hi,

I’m looking for a more modern version of the Barbour wax jacket. In an olive colour. So in a more boxy slightly cropped fit. I did try some from Marks & Spencer but they weren’t quite right. Barbour do have some lovely ones, but they’re all out of stock in my size. I’m happy to pay a bit for a really nice jacket. Does anywhere else do something similar? Thanks.

Have you taken a look at Holland & Cooper or Celtic & co? Might be a bit too traditional but they have Brabour-style jackets.

There was a gorgeous cropped one in mango I think they still have it on asos two different colours

Although saying that it may not be wax just waxed effect I'm not sure

Try equestrian/country clothing sites. Rydale have some. I got one from a company called Bareback Equestrian a few years ago that I still wear (originally got it for riding in but actually use it as a casual jacket as it ticks a lot of boxes)

Have you searched for 'Barbour stockists' + 'name of style' to see if the one you like comes up in your size? Personally you can't beat Barbour on quality IMHO.

I think it’s worth having a Barbour as the quality is great - like others have said, you might find one online at another stockist or Barbour might restock.

I have one from an Alexa Chung range a few years ago and one from the John Lewis Future Archives range.

Both a more modern cuts - shorter and boxier and I always get complements on them.

The Acorn is quite long. Hip length on me - I tried one on but decided not to get it as I was looking for a shorter one. If you’re looking for a more modern cut/style, have you seen these?
