Boots and ballet flats

Hi
I'm not great with fashion .So are ballet flats in fashion ?Would knee high horse riding style boots also be in fashion (not actual horse riding boots but don't know how better to describe them )? I love ballet flats and those style of boots but keep getting told they aren't non fashion any more .what type of sandals are fashionable ?personally I prefer the tan gladiator style ones and I know chunkier ones are now fashionable but i really don't like chunky soles on any shoes .

Generally if you shop at any reasonably fashionable shop you can be confident that what it stocks is fashionable. I wouldn’t have said simply googling an item would be a reliable way to arrive at a stylish wardrobe.

If in doubt you can always cross check with somewhere like Zara - if they’re selling it, it’s fashionable.

Or go upmarket and cross check.
