Dark lipstick, thin lips, pale skin

Does this look harsh and unflattering? Just bought some Ilia stuff and don't want it to be a waste!
And should I start botox for those marionette lines?! (I'm 40)

It's not dark lipstick. Dark would be burgundy and maroon colours.

This looks nice but it's hard to know without seeing your eyes and cheeks and how it fits the rest of your face.

Is that a scrunchie at the back of your neck? I love the colour - goes well with your pale skin and the lipstick.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe it's the matteness that I was worried about? I think on quite tight wee lips in can be aging, but maybe it's just a look I'm not used to.

Ah! Well - you have a slight Tudor look about you. Next time you have a grand event to dress up for you could look for a high necked taffeta or silk blouse in that colour.

Colour is lovely on you and you have lovely shaped lips. Much prefer yours over puffy inflated filled ones

It looks alright to me. You could use a lip liner that's 1 shade darker than your lipstick colour if you want to define the shape and give the illusion of more volume.

It's a lovely colour on you. I'd also recommend a lip liner just to give a bit more definition and you can ever so slightly over line the lips to give a fuller look if you want.

MAC lipliners are amazing but pricey. I've found the Rimmel pencil ones excellent, as well as the Maybelline lifter ones for far less.
